Mexico News

USA Department of State Symbol

The media has been reporting numerous events taking place in Mexico lately and I understand that there are growing concerns surrounding travel to Mexico in light of the recent media reports. Please rest assured that I am committed to only selling reputable resorts to my clients. The safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas is one of the highest priorities for resorts. If you read the actual travel warning on the U.S. Department of State’s website is specifically states: “There is no evidence that criminal organizations have targeted U.S. citizens based on their nationality. Resort areas and tourist destinations in Mexico generally do not see the level of drug-related violence and crime that are reported in the border region or in areas along major trafficking routes.”

As with any travel, clients should be diligent and stay aware of their surroundings to ensure their safety. Using common sense goes a long way when traveling abroad. And just like any other country—such as the recent terrorist attacks in Europe, this violence takes place on our home turf here in the USA too. The media blows up these articles but doesn’t deliver the actual facts. Did you know the U.S. has become a subject and earns a Travel Warning from New Zealand, Germany, and the U.K. and those countries warn their citizens about traveling to the USA for concerns about Zika, Terrorism, and Gun Violence taking place here in the USA? Yup—It's True!

I take these reports very seriously and I always secure factual information in regards to topics currently being addressed in the media. The safety and experience of my customers are a top priority and if I felt like my clients were in true harm, I would address it.
